    DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS

    We are committed to providing and supporting development pathways to help Scottish athletes realise their potential. We are currently progressing the development of pathways in all four disciplines: Alpine, Freestyle, Snowboard and Nordic. This section will be updated as the pathways come into place so if the discipline you are interested in does not yet have a defined pathway please Contact Us.

    ALPINE

    The pathway is aimed at promising young Scottish athletes progressing onto either the Scottish or British Skiing Teams. Criteria for entry to these teams is determined at the end of every season, and application details and forms are advertised accordingly. Progress can be made through attending FAST and SJADG.

    F.A.S.T (Focussed Alpine Scottish ski Training) is open to all active members of clubs affiliated to Snowsport Scotland in the U10 to U16 2 age categories. Race training with experienced and qualified coaches takes place in the Alps through organised camps 4 times a year. Read more 

    Scottish Juniors (SJADG - Scottish Junior Alpine Development Group) offers training to all Juniors who have left Children 2 and are members of a club affiliated to Snowsport Scotland. Offering camps in Scotland and abroad, often in tandem with the Scottish Ski Team, it is the perfect place to progress an athlete's skills for those who have not yet met the criteria for the Scottish Ski Team.     As well as these groups race training and race camps are also offered by our member Clubs, and by the Lothian Ski Racing Association (LSRA) who offer training on a Wednesday and Thursday night at Midlothian Ski Centre.
