With the Winter Olympic Games taking place in Vancouver from 12 - 28 February 2010 the BOA have announced the GB Team. Scotland are represented by 6 athletes: In Alpine, Andy Noble (25, Edinburgh); In Snowboard Lesley McKenna (35, Aviemore), Ben Kilner (21, Banchory) and Adam McLeish (30, Quebec); and in cross-country skiing Andrew Musgrave (19, Insch) and Andrew Young (17, Huntly).
'I would like to congratulate our Scottish athletes on their selection to Team GB. They have all worked incredibly hard to achieve their seat on the plane and all deserve to be going to Vancouver. I would also like to offer commiserations to those Scottish athletes who gave their all to meet criteria, came close to selection, but were not included in the final line up.'
'All the athletes on the Olympic pathway have had tremendous support from Sportscotland and the Scottish Institute of Sport in the form of funding and services. On behalf of the athletes and Snowsport Scotland I would also like to extend my thanks to these organisations (now merged into one) for all their input'
Jane Harvey, Chief Executive, Snowsport Scotland
