WOMEN & GIRLS COACH EDUCATION SUBSIDY
Snowsport Scotland has been awarded dedicated funding from sportscotland to help increase female participation in coach and instructor qualification pathways. This initiative aims to grow the number of qualified women working within Scottish skiing and snowboarding by tackling the key barriers that often limit involvement.
Our programme focuses on:
Increasing female representation across coaching and instructing roles
Reducing financial barriers for women and girls pursuing coach education
Supporting logistical challenges such as travel, expenses, and childcare needs
Eligible applicants can receive up to 50% funding towards course fees and associated travel/expense costs.
ADAPTIVE SNOWSPORTS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FUND
Snowsport Scotland has received funding from Arnold Clark to launch a new initiative that supports the development of para and adaptive snowsport coaches, leaders, and instructors. This funding aims to break down barriers for individuals seeking to build qualifications in adaptive snowsports, helping to grow a more inclusive and accessible snowsports community across Scotland.
We invite applications from:
Snowsport instructors/workers looking for financial support to complete qualifications in para/adaptive snowsport disciplines
Individuals pursuing relevant non-snowsport qualifications that enhance their ability to deliver adaptive snowsports experiences, such as BSL, Makaton, and similar skills
This funding opportunity is designed to strengthen the pathway for coaches and leaders who support disabled participants in Scottish skiing and snowboarding.
