It is designed to offer education and learning modules in the below subject areas:-
(Currently SNOWSMART 2 and SNOWSMART 3 are on pilot release and available for you to use. The remaining items are under development and will be announced when available).

SNOWSMART 2
On-piste - Safety & mountain weather for all skiers and snowboarders
This is designed for everyone that skis or snowboards. It provides a platform for testing and developing knowledge about weather at altitude, and the straightforward safety considerations of participating in snowsports on-piste, in a patrolled ski resort.

Off-piste - Sidecountry safety, snowpack and avalanche safety information
Introduces subject matter relating to the off-piste environment, checking and developing knowledge of the off-piste snowpack and the added challenges and hazards found in off-piste, in-bound terrain (what we call the sidecountry)

Off-piste - Backcountry touring safety and navigation education
Focuses on assessing and developing knowledge on the more complex considerations when out journeying in remote backcountry terrain, well beyond the resort boundaries. This module will be available for completion soon .

FIS CODE OF CONDUCT ON THE SLOPES
The FIS Rules of Conduct are the essential guidelines that help keep everyone safe and enjoying their time on the slopes. Whether you’re skiing or snowboarding, these simple, common-sense rules explain how to ride responsibly, respect others, and avoid accidents in busy mountain environments. Understanding and following the FIS Rules helps create a safer, more fun experience for everyone on snow.
