Adaptive Athletes Shine at Sold-Out Parallel Lines Race

This past weekend, the Arnold Clark Parallel Lines adaptive race series started with a full roster of 30 racers, marking a significant milestone in inclusive snowsports across the UK. Organised by Snowsport England and Snowsport Scotland, the event took place at Chill Factore, providing a platform for athletes of all abilities to compete in slalom races.

The race format allowed participants to train and complete as many runs as possible within a two-hour window, with their best time contributing to the final results. To ensure fairness, times were adjusted based on age and the nature of each athlete's disability, and then compared to a benchmark set by a forerunner.

The sold-out event highlighted the growing enthusiasm and talent within the adaptive snowsports community. Participants travelled from various parts of the UK, demonstrating the widespread appeal and accessibility of the series.

The next dates are:

Castleford | 7th June

Milton Keynes | 5th July

Castleford | 23rd August

Manchester, Chill Factore | 28th September
