SCOTTISH ALPINE TEAM PERFORMANCE TRAINING PROGRAMME

The Scottish Alpine Performance programme offers 15 week on-snow training across 10 separate camps all designed to fit around full time education in Scotland. The primary objective of the programme is to support for U16 to U21 to successfully transition into FIS and beyond.

For U16’s - Our U16 programme is built around preparing athletes for FIS competition, focusing on technical and tactical improvements for long-term development, and building their understanding of performance level racing. On this program, we aim to create an environment where young racers can build strength, skills, confidence, and the competitive mindset needed to prepare for their first FIS races.

Athletes will be challenged and supported to strive for selection to international competitions and the GB Snowsport British Children’s Ski Team (BCST).

For 18+ - Our U18+ programme is designed to take FIS athletes and progress them towards the next major milestones - achieving selection criteria for the major international pathways including National Team, the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Youth Olympic Games, and the World Junior Championships.

Training focuses on developing peak physical strength and fitness, alongside strong technical ability across all alpine disciplines and the programme offers opportunities to train and compete in each discipline throughout the year.

The programme targets national and international competitions, providing athletes with the platform, experience, and support needed to perform at their best and pursue success on the international stage.
