KIRSTY MUIR TANTALISINGLY CLOSE TO BRONZE IN SLOPESTYLE
Kirsty Muir narrowly missed out on an medal after a thrilling performance in the women’s freeski slopestyle final, finishing fourth at her second Winter Games.
The British skier delivered a near-perfect third and final run, showing impressive confidence and control throughout the course, particularly on the rails where she looked sharp and composed across all three of her runs, plus pulling off the biggest trick of the competition on her third jump. However, a costly error on the second jump proved decisive, ultimately denying her a place on the podium.
Muir posted a score of 76.05, leaving her just 0.41 points short of a medal in a fiercely competitive final. Despite the disappointment, it marked her highest finish to date and underlined her growing status on the world stage.
With slopestyle now complete, attention turns quickly to Big Air, where Muir will look to build on her strong form. Big Air qualification takes place on Saturday at 6.30pm, offering another opportunity for the Brit to challenge at the top end of the field.
