Snowsport Scotland Education Conference Sees Record Attendance and Inspiring Workshops
The annual Snowsport Scotland Education Conference proved a huge success this year, welcoming a record number of attendees and delivering a packed programme of inspiring workshops.
Attendance was up by an impressive 30–35% compared to last year, with a noticeable increase in women participating thanks to targeted support from the Women and Girls Fund. The boost highlights the growing enthusiasm and inclusivity within the Scottish snowsports community.
Workshops were a highlight of the event, with sportscotland’s Introduction to Mentoring session receiving glowing feedback. Other sessions were equally well received, including How to Engage People in Snowsports, which brought creativity to the fore by using skateboards to demonstrate techniques—earning a big thumbs up from participants.
Snowsport Scotland Head of Development & Education Josef Tautscher praised the event, saying:
“The growth in attendance and the quality of workshops this year show the strength of our community. It’s fantastic to see more women joining the conversation, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”
The conference not only provided education and professional development opportunities but also reinforced the importance of community, innovation, and inclusivity in Scottish snowsports.
With such strong momentum, Snowsport Scotland is looking forward to building on this success in the coming year and continuing to expand opportunities for coaches, instructors, and participants across the country.
