Firpark Celebrates 40 Years!
Firpark Ski Centre, located in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, celebrates its 40th anniversary on 16th May 2025. The centre has been a significant part of the community, offering year-round snowsport activities on its 120-meter dry ski slope. Over the years, it has provided skiing, snowboarding, and tubing opportunities for individuals of all experience levels, supported by experienced instructors.
The 40th-anniversary celebrations include events that highlight the centre's history and its impact on the local community, featuring stories and photographs from past and present staff and visitors.
The weeks free sessions include:
Tuesday 13 May
Individual tubing sessions: 3.30-4.30pm
30 spaces available for Tillicoultry PS pupils. Participants must be at least 110cm tall and wear long sleeves, trousers, gloves and suitable footwear.
Beginners skiing sessions: 4.30-6.30pm and 6-8pm
Up to 24 places available which are open to all ages. Complete beginners only.
Wednesday 14 May
Dollar Academy skiing: 4-5pm
Sessions for Dollar Academy pupils
Beginners skiing sessions: 5.30-7.30pm and 7-9pm
Up to 24 places available which are open to all ages. Complete beginners only.
Thursday 15 May
Curricular school skiing: 9.30am-2.30pm
Session part of annual P7 skiing programme
School ski session: 3-5pm
Open to P4-7 pupils from Tillicoultry PS. All levels welcome.
Muckhart & District Ski Club: 6-9pm
Session for members of Muckhart & District Ski Club
Friday 16 May
Celebration event: 5-8pm
All welcome to attend and have the opportunity to see and hear about the history of the facility and meet past and present staff members
Saturday 17 May
Open skiing sessions: 9.15-10.45am and 11.15am-12.45pm
Pre-bookable sessions with an instructor on the slope. Supervised sessions for skiers of all levels. Up to 24 places available.
Individual tubing sessions: 1-1.45pm, 2-2.45pm, 3-3.45pm
30 spaces available per time slot. Participants must be at least 110cm tall and wear long sleeves, trousers, gloves and suitable footwear.
Sunday 18 May
Open skiing sessions: 9-10.30am and 11am-12.30pm
Pre-bookable sessions with an instructor on the slope. Supervised sessions for skiers of any level. Up to 24 places available.
Adaptive ski club: 12.30-2pm and 2.30-4pm
Pre-bookable bi-ski and family ski sessions
Individual tubing sessions: 4-4.45pm and 5-5.45pm
30 spaces available per time slot. Participants must be at least 110cm tall and wear long sleeves, trousers, gloves and suitable footwear.
