In a landmark announcement for Snowsport Scotland, three of Great Britain’s most inspiring winter para athletes — Scott Meenagh, Neil Simpson, and Andrew Simpson — have officially secured their places on the team heading to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games in March.
Scott Meenagh: Para Nordic Specialist Ready for Final Paralympics
Veteran Scott Meenagh, 36, has been confirmed as Great Britain’s sole Para Nordic skier for the upcoming Games. Meenagh will be competing on the world’s biggest stage for the third time, having previously represented GB in PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022.

Silver medal in the 12.5km Individual Biathlon at the 2023 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships — the first-ever British medal at the event.
Fourth place at the 2025 Para Biathlon World Cup Sprint in Val di Fiemme, showing strong competitive form.
Bronze medal in the Biathlon Sprint Pursuit at the World Cup in Torsby and third overall in the 2025 World Cup standings.

The Simpson brothers, Neil and his guide Andrew, will return to Paralympic competition together after cementing their place in the GB squad for Milano Cortina.

Neil Simpson burst onto the Paralympic scene with a historic gold medal in the Super-G vision impaired at the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics, the first Paralympic skiing gold for a British male.

At the 2025 World Championships, Neil added more medals to his resume, including another World Championship gold in Super-G alongside guide Rob Poth (while Andrew returned from injury).
