SCOTTISH ATHLETES SELECTED FOR THE BRITISH CHILDREN’S SKI TEAM
Following the recent meeting of the GB Snowsport selection committee, 30 young athletes have been named to the 2025/26 British Children’s Ski Team (BCST), set to compete across Europe at U14 and U16 races. Scotland is proudly represented by Gabriel Welsh, Max Hannah, Lewis Oakes, and Jolie Welsh, who will race in Andorra, Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy this season.
Lewis Oakes will compete at U16 level in Arcalia Borrufa (Andorra), while Gabriel Welsh is set for U16 races in Soriska Planina (Slovenia) and Rijeka-Platak (Croatia). Max Hannah will tackle the U14 Italian races in Folgaria, and Jolie Welsh will represent Scotland in U14 races in Slovenia and Croatia.
These talented young athletes will gain invaluable international racing experience as part of a team designed to develop Britain’s next generation of skiing talent.
