NAIRN’S OATCAKES GETS BEHIND OUR SCOTTISH NORDIC ATHLETES
Scottish oatcake manufacturer and long-standing partner of Snowsport Scotland, Nairn’s Oatcakes, has played a key role in enabling Scotland’s leading female cross-country skiers, Tabitha Williams and Anna Pryce, to attend critical World Cup events and achieve the Olympic Qualification Standard (OQS) for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games—a significant milestone in both athletes’ international careers.
On 21 January, both athletes will learn the outcome of Team GB selections, with one place available in the discipline for the Games in February. While only one athlete will ultimately be selected, achieving OQS represents years of sustained performance, resilience, and commitment from both cross-country skiers, and is an achievement in its own right. Snowsport Scotland is immensely proud of what both athletes have accomplished.
Iain Ramsay-Clapham, CEO of Snowsport Scotland, said:
“Having two Scottish female Nordic athletes achieve the Olympic Qualification Standard is a major achievement and reflects the professionalism and dedication shown by both athletes over many years. We are extremely grateful to Nairn’s Oatcakes for their continued support of Scottish snowsports and the Nordic pathway.”
Kevin Butterworth, Marketing Director at Nairn’s Oatcakes, said:
“Our partnership with Snowsport Scotland is rooted in long-term support for both athletes and the wider snowsports community. We are proud to contribute to the Nordic programme and to help create opportunities for Scottish athletes to perform at this level.
