SNOWSPORT SCOTLAND CLUBS SECURE SPORTSCOTLAND FUNDING

We are delighted to share that sportscotland has awarded Club Support Programme funding to two projects. We are grateful to sportscotland for making the Club Support Programme available.

Polmonthill Community Snowsports Centre SCIO and Polmonthill Snowsports Club will employ a part-time Operations Manager for the organisation, supporting the ongoing development of the facility and its volunteer team.

Huntly Nordic Ski Club, working with Huntly Nordic & Outdoor Centre (Aberdeenshire Council), will employ a part-time Development Officer to grow cross country skiing participation in Huntly and the surrounding areas, alongside developing the club's volunteer workforce.

Congratulations to both — these are exciting steps forward for snowsport in their communities. Both roles will be open for applications soon, so keep an eye out if you or someone you know might be interested.

Round 2 — Expressions of Interest

Clubs are welcome to express an interest in round 2 of funding. Any club that has not yet expressed an interest should do so by 15th August.

Clubs must have a very strong business case for funding, detailing additionality and how the project will benefit the sport. Funding is very limited and not all applications will be taken forward. Where applications aren't taken forward we will support you to seek and apply for funding elsewhere.
