SCOTTISH PARA STARS SELECTED FOR MILANO CORTINA 2026 PARALYMPICS
Three of Scotland’s most inspiring winter para athletes — Scott Meenagh (Para Nordic), Neil Simpson, and Andrew Simpson (Para Alpine) — have now officially been confirmed for the GB Team heading to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games.
CROSS COUNTRY LADIES ACHIEVE OQS, SUPPORTED BY NAIRNS OATCAKES
A huge milestone for Scottish cross-country skiing as Tabitha Williams and Anna Pryce have both achieved the Olympic Qualification Standard (OQS) for Milano Cortina 2026.
With only one female Team GB place available in this discipline, final selection will be confirmed following the qualification period — but reaching OQS is a major achievement for both athletes.
Thanks to the ongoing support of Nairn’s Oatcakes, working in partnership with Snowsport Scotland, both athletes have been able to access key international competitions during this crucial phase of the season.

SNOWSPORT SCOTLAND AND AUSTRIA TOURISM LAUNCH “FIRST TRACKS”
Snowsport Scotland has secured a new partnership with Austria Tourism to launch First Tracks, a new national schools programme giving 150 primary pupils across Scotland the chance to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time at local artificial snow centres. The project will also introduce pupils to Austrian snowsports culture through fun educational activities and events.
50% FUNDING FOR COACH TRAINING COURSES
Snowsport Scotland is offering up to 50% funding for the below listed L2 and L3 Alpine Race Coach and L2 Park & Pipe Coach training courses in 2026, through our John Hynes Fund or the sportscotland Women & Girls Coach subsidy

UK ANTI-DOPING 2026 PROHIBITED LIST
The new 2026 anti-doping regulations will come into effect on 1 January 2026, following the release of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) 2026 Prohibited List.
This updated list outlines the substances and methods that are banned in sport and serves as the global standard for anti-doping enforcement.
